I am Andrew, Future Leader
4 december 2011

My name is Andrew Method, I live in Tanzania. At this moment I am head of the intern doctors at Amana hospital, I am co-founder of and involved in different national and international organizations, f.e. the global Young Earth Scientists Network (YES) Network. I see the energy of young people like myself. I have hope for the children who are living in difficult circumstances. I feel the pain of youth who grow up in poverty, live poorer and will die poor. I cry for peace in this world and I dream to see a world that is fit for everyone. I feel I am a leader who has a role to play every minute and at any point to bring positive changes to my people. I wish to combine the energy of young people, to bring hope to children, to preach peace and to make this world a better place.

After finishing my degree in Medicine in 2010, I joined the Future Leaders Health program of Better Future and VvAA/Amref. It was amazing.. What I really loved where the personal coaching sessions, it has given me an opportunity to reflect on the past and to make a plan for my future. I was given the chance to recognize and develop my full leadership potential. This Future Leaders program really changed my life.

I can be who I want to be and archive what I want, through hard work and developing my talents. The passion in my collegues eyes, the ability to realise my potential, to live my dreams, has given me energy to start my own small company. My company is called ‘Andrews International Tz’ and will hopefully grow, being the example in my community that economic freedom should start within ourselves.

It’s not that I want to change the whole world, but at least I want to make a significant change that will be noticed. A change which historians will write about, something beneficial to make a world a better place.
